ADCH Petey MX MXJ (JRT)
A.K.A.Petey (a.k.a. Lickity Split's Little Rascal, Tippy-Toe Petey, Petey-Meister, Petey-Petey, Petey-Man, Peteley-Poo, Sweety-Petey, Sweety Speedy Petey, Sweety Speedy Petey Feety, Petey-P, P, Petey-Po, Petey-Po-Petey, Da Man) was born on June 25, 2003, in Parker, Colorado. He came to me from Darlene McInnes of Lickity Split Jack Russells. Petey's full sister, Ally, was my first Jack Russell Terrier I and I fell in love with the breed. When Ally was about 18 months old, I asked Darlene if I could get another puppy from the same breeding (Brooke Hollow Polar X Lickity Split Lexus). I remember vividly when I got the call from Darlene telling me Petey had been born. He was the only puppy and he had a black spot over one eye and on the back of one rear foot. He was a fun and wild puppy to teach and he's a fun and wild boy to run. As a puppy, it took me nine months to get him to play tug with me and now most times I can't get him to stop! Petey barks the entire time he's doing agility, whether we're competing or practicing. He loves the game and is always ready to play. Petey made it to "the big ring" his second time at the USDAA Cynosport World Games in 2006. He won the Grand Prix Semi-Finals earning him top seed in the main event, the Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Finals. We had a fabulous run and would have won that year but my nerves got the best of me and I mis-handled him at the third to last jump causing an off course. Still, we haven't looked back making it to the big ring several times since. In 2007, he won the 16" Grand Prix at the DAWG Regional in Texas earning a spot in the finals at the World Games and, in 2008 and 2009, we got to run under the lights in the Steeplechase Finals. We're hoping to make it to the finals again in both Grand Prix and Steeplechase at the 2011 World Games this coming October in Louisville, Kentucky! -- top -- Title Reference
